TwitterDroid lets you read and publish to your Twitter, it is a kind of port of Twitterific, the excellent application for MacOS X.

TwitterDroid 0.1.2 is an early alpha stage software but it is already functional - you can read the latest 20 tweets from your friends and publish a post to your own timeline.

The application still lacks configuration, robustness and notifications. Anyway, it's worth trying.

  • Log into any Twitter account and save preferences
  • Display expanded tweets of your friends timeline
  • Post a tweet to your timeline
  • Display a waiting spinner when sending and fetching tweets
  • Refresh the tweet list
  • Catch connection errors and display an alert
  • Use the black theme of Android

Please note that this version was developed using the previous version of the Android SDK, so won't work in the latest version, or the available Android phones.
