ixMAT Barcode Scanner uses the camera on your Android-powered mobile phone to read barcodes and look up product information such as prices and reviews.

ixMAT Scanner can recognize 1D barcodes (classic old-style barcodes) as well as new 2D barcodes, like DataMatrix or QR codes. 2D barcodes can contain more information than traditional 1D barcodes - for example links to web sites, phone numbers, email addresses, map locations and more.

ixMAT Scanner support the following barcode standards:

• EAN8
• EAN13
• UPC
• Code39
• Code128
• QR Code
• DataMatrix Code

Version 2.2:

• Resizable viewfinder for fast and reliable scan of tiny 2D codes or lengthy 1D codes
• Option for support of inverted codes (white on black)
• Support of Android 1.5, Android 1.6 and Android 2.0 platforms
• Special characters support (UTF-8) for DataMatrix codes
• Displays the list of active decoders in viewfinder
• Interoperability with other applications that require code scans
• Increased scanning speed
• Compensation of distortion due to non-orthogonal projection of 2D codes
• Navigation to geo locations in 2D codes using a map
• Integration of content handlers from ZXing project for handling of contact information, calendar events etc.
